When a homeowner asks AI who can fix the AC or a leak today, can it read your site?

Homeowners ask AI assistants who can fix their air conditioning, furnace, water heater or drain, often the same day. The assistant answers with what it can read on contractors' websites. Beacon checks what it can read on yours, then rebuilds it with a version an assistant can read accurately, alongside the one homeowners see.

What people ask an AI assistant

“Who can fix my AC today in [your city]?”

The assistant answers from what it can read on the websites of companies near the person asking. If your services, your service area and whether you take emergency calls are inside images or load only with scripts, it may not see them at all.

What Beacon reads and fixes on a heating, cooling or plumbing site

An assistant answering that question looks for these facts on your site. Beacon reads your pages the way an assistant does and checks whether each one is there, in text a machine can read. Where a fact is on your site but hidden in images or behind scripts, the rebuild puts it in plain text and labels it in the schema.org format AI and search engines look for.

  • Services: each job you do, by name: heating and air conditioning repair and installation, plumbing repairs, water heaters or drain cleaning, whichever you offer.
  • Hours: your office hours, and whether you take emergency, same-day, after-hours or weekend calls, as your site states them.
  • Pricing and financing: your service call fee where your site states it, or that you give a quote, and any financing or maintenance plan you offer.
  • Service area: the cities, neighborhoods or counties your technicians cover, and where your shop is.
  • Booking: how a homeowner gets someone out: a call, an online booking or a request form, said in words and not only behind a button.

The rebuild says only what your pages say: Beacon never adds a fact your site does not state. A person at Aruon reviews every rebuild before it goes live.

Questions

Will this get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

No one can promise that, and anyone who does is guessing. AI assistants decide what to cite. Beacon controls the part you can control: whether they can read your site accurately when they look.

What is the verified badge?

A small image a site can show once Beacon has installed its machine version on the site's own domain and checked that it works. It is a true, checkable claim: it links to a page listing the files Beacon fetched from the site and the date of the last check. We serve the image, so it stays current: if a check does not pass or the site changes, it says re-check pending until a new check passes. It never shows a score, and a site shows it only if its owner says yes.
